Raising a family comes with unique challenges and rewards, and although in the end the rewards make it all worth it, it can be tough; particularly when the children are young.

The change of becoming a parent is all-encompassing, and it greatly affects the physical attributes of the home you need to raise your new family.

That being said, a family home can still be super stylish!

Today we’re taking a tour of one such home; it may be designed for a young family, but it’s got oodles of style and sophistication. Let’s take a look…

Our backs to the wall

We commence our tour from the corner of the open-plan living space from which we can survey most of the area. The undeniably attractive area is a modern-style medley of neutral colours interspersed with light wooden tones that gives the room an eye-catching, yet calm and sophisticated look.

The devil’s in the details

As attractive as the room’s general décor is, it’s the accents and smaller details that breathe life into the space and really make it stand out.

The glass jars give character to the simple, modern, wooden table, and on the shelf to the right of the room the books are interspersed with flowers and Russian dolls composed of colours that coordinate with the attractive art work adorning the wall to the left.

A creative modern mix

Turning from the dining area brings the living room into view, and again we find the accents impress bringing a different dynamic into the space. The colourful cushions combine with the attractive art and make the space really stand out.

Let’s talk light

The unusual and artistic bookshelf, as well as the marvellous modern lamp add to the room’s ultra-modern atmosphere, and in conjunction with the tartan chairs create quite the unique style.

Looking ahead allows us to appreciate one of the homes most attractive attributes: the amount of natural light. Wall-to-wall windows flood the open-plan area with light creating a bright, spacious atmosphere.

Not forgetting the nursery

Of course we began this article discussing the nature of family homes, so we couldn’t forget the kid’s room. This warm and welcoming little room benefits from colourful bunting, while an abundance of cushions create a cosy atmosphere.
