There is something very common in us, the Indians. We all will definitely have a corner, and if space allows, a complete room for our Gods or deities. Isn’t it? But it is also very common in us that we don’t spend much time in designing it, may be because in our fast paced life prayer has just become a ritual now and pooja space just a necessity.

Well not anymore. Prayer is not just lightening a lamp before God. It’s meditation.

Today we bring you 7 inspiring ideas to create your own pooja cum meditation room where you can connect to your inner self.

Simple and elegant

An elevated space along the wall has transformed it into a beautiful pooja space. There is nothing fancy here. Just a simple wood work with hidden lights and beautifully crafted silver statues, lamps, bells and throne; it is making this pooja space look elegant and an inviting place for evening meditation.

A temple shining bright

A simple wooden temple with images of deities and lamps is made special by the vibrant colour of the walls. The orange sun in the corner shining bright in yellowish orange wall is vibrant and lively.

Pristine white

White marble ganesha idol, marble floor, wooden and white walls, glass wall in one side with the reflection of statue on it and a beautiful chandelier hanging from above; pristine white will definitely give you the peace and connect you to the almighty.

Pure and magnificent

This marble pooja room is just pure and magnificent! Everything here is splendid. The chandelier and the elaborate wooden door are equally impressive. Who would not like to spend some quite time here for mediation and prayer?

Glass room

The space under the staircase is thoughtfully utilised and has been beautifully made into a pooja space. Glass walls are used to give it a shape of a room. Clutter-free space with a fountain on one side and a large statue of Buddha is providing a quite space for rendezvous with inner self.

Painted beauty

Intricate wooden carving, modern painting of Ganesha adorning the side panel, and a door opening to a room in a corner created to spend some ‘me’ time with your God. The long metal diyas hanging from the ceiling, the shelves on the wall for more statues, the drawers to keep the pooja essentials, a beautiful metal statue, but above all the wall painting of dancing Ganesha is making this pooja room really special.

Traditional and modern

Traditional diyas, a beautiful statue of Ganesha, a modern wall-lamp hanging from the ceiling and diffused lighting on the checkered wall behind the statue; everything has magically transformed this pooja space where you can sit and meditate peacefully.
