Let's face it, we're all very busy people. We have full-time jobs, we're busy socialising or networking, making time for leisure activities, and some of us even have to juggle children on top of all that. So it's no wonder why housecleaning is the last thing on everyone's to-do list. Organising everything in a single day causes great fatigue, especially when you have a larger home. But the truth is, we are figuring out more and more ways to manage our time and lessen this burden on ourselves.

Today, we're sharing some tips that will be useful when it comes to day to day organisation so your house can remain the sparkling clean beauty you always knew it could be. In just 15 minutes each day, you can drastically improve the look and feel of your environment. Yes, it's a race against time, but think of it as a fun game! Let's start the clock in 3.. 2.. 1… Go!

1. Pack coats, shoes, and other junk that's out of place

We get home and leave our shoes all over the entrance, all the coats are in sight, the mail, the keys, the bags… And the chaos is ready right when you walk in the door. So let's get everything in the right place so the house can look different. Put your coat in the closet, put your shoes to the side, and set aside a special bowl for things like keys and mail.

You can do this pretty quickly–two or three minutes should do it.

2. Airing

Opening windows every day, whether it's sunny, windy, or rainy, is essential to renewing the air and breathing new life to your environment at home. Leave the windows open for about 15 minutes (perhaps while you're doing the rest of your tidying) and your space will be fresher in no time.

The actual act of opening a window takes less than a minute, so don't use laziness as an excuse!

3. Organise the furniture

After opening the windows, shake out all the cushions and textiles on your sofa, fold any blankets blankets and leave them neatly in place. Stack magazines and books in a neat pile and take out the left over cups from the coffee table. These simple gestures soon create the neat house effect and will take just about two minutes.

4. Make the bed

Not everyone makes it a habit to make the bed every day, but the truth is it makes all the difference in your bedroom. Lay down your blankets first and put your pillows neatly on top. And if you're not used to the sensation of getting into a freshly-made bed every night, you will be soon and you'll realise there is hardly a feeling that compares! Quite a good result for only two minutes out of your day.

5. Pack away toys

If you have kids, you will undoubtedly have toys everywhere and of course it is difficult to always keep them in order. But if you have baskets or boxes in the bedroom and living room, you'll be able to put everything there quickly and easily whenever playtime is over. When you have a good organisational system, this won't take longer than two minutes. And with time, your child will learn how to do it and it will be less work for you.

6. Fix the bathroom

The bathroom is used every day and for various purposes, but we all know that daily deep cleanings are just too much. That can be reserved for a weekly chore. But you can dedicate a minute or two to it every day to freshen it up, such as changing towels, removing the garbage from your baskets, disinfecting the toilet with a quick spritz of disinfectant and then finishing it up by placing a nice bowl of potpourri on the counter. Don't take more than five minutes to do all of these things, however.

7. A quick sweep

With your remaining minute or so, all you have to do is tidy up the floor a bit, and this just involves a quick sweep. Make note of the areas where you spilled some crumbs the night before, or pick up that clump of dog hair lying by the bed. Your weekly vacuuming will be a lot easier too when you take this step.

Okay, so we're done with the 15 minutes. Tired out yet?
