As the guests step in the hotel, we want them to feel the old New York ambience within this interior by creating a concept that emphasises a sophisticated lifestyle.
From the 17th to the 19th century, New York City was the commercial heart of America; with the growing of businessmen, traders and planters; the City has impressed people with profession so large that the amount of quality lodging establishments began to emerge. Black, white and navy blue are the main colour palette of this hotel. They are the formal colours, which is typically associated with the professionals, thus this combination represents classic and elegance, creating an atmosphere of ease and calmness. On the main lobby, glossy marble materials are arranged in handcrafting planks, to make the view more dynamic and pleasurable to look at. Behind the reception, the square frame décor is made of brass stainless steel – slim, straight and tough, a combination of delicacy and harshness to emphasis the professions of New York. The unique silver-grey timber veneer is the main wall-finishing upwards to the hotel, also in guest lifts, lift lobbies and corridors. This veneer is visually shinny and carries the raw texture of wood grain, transforming the place into a high-ended hotel.
